Full spectrum
lighting refers to light or light bulbs that cover the entire electromagnetic
range from low infrared to ultraviolet and above, like sunlight, which is
represented at the temperature of 5,500° Kelvin (sunlight at noon on a clear
day). ALZO Photo CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs are daylight balanced
and have a color temperature of 5,500° Kelvin, and a
CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 91. They come in 3 different intensities:
27 watts,
45 watts and
85 watts.

Seasonal
Affective Disorder, aka "Winter Blues," a condition created by a lack
of light that occurs during winter months, particularly in northern areas.

regular basis, a proven method to help cure S.A.D. The pioneer of research in
this field is Dr. Norman Rosenthal,
the author of the book
"Winter Blues."
Full spectrum lighting is also used for treating
